Robbie’s niece has a little dog called Jasmine. It’s a Maltese/Spaniel cross and is soooo cute. Both Jack and Bron said if they ever get a dog this will be the one.
This other picture was taken at Lainies house (Robbie’s sister). You can see Lainie and Jade (her daughter) and Mel (Lainie’s friend) on the left.
We are staying with Lainie and Ralph at the moment. They are totally spoiling us. Yesterday they served pancakes with maple syrup and fresh strawberries for breakfast.
It’s our last night in Brisbane. We are leaving on our road trip tomorrow. The van is packed to the brim with things I never thought we’d need. We have something for every eventuality. The list includes a ‘dutch oven’ (It doesn’t involve a duvet:-) a billycan, and a toilet seat which is attached to a stool so you can poo in comfort in the outback. We have every tool you can imagine including ropes and winches to drag us out of potholes. We should be gone for about 6 weeks so we may not be in regular contact. On the way we are meeting up with Robbie’s dad who will be travelling with us for a while.
Oh by the way we tricked Robbie today. Lainie put a false spider on his shoulder. He screamed so loudly Ralph came out into the yard to see what was going on. It was so funny. And I thought I was going travelling with a big brave man!! Mind you, I can’t talk. I’ve already had two spider nightmares where I woke up screaming!
eek!!! can’t believe it’s that time already. Loo seat sounds like a definite must in the bush (I’m thinking height from spiders not comfort!)…Enjoy the sunset’s, the people and cold aussie beer…..Take lot’s of photo’s. We’ll be thinking of you xxx
So cute …..And the dog!! No pics of Jack for a while? So you are off tomorrow for a while. It will be sad not to hear from you.
We have had a quiet weekend here as Ed was away on his Kent trip. Harry and I went to London Friday to see Lord Of The Rings, which was very exciting – We were really lucky as we got to see backstage and saw all the costumes, props and some of the actors.
We are just watching the mens final at Wimbledon that’s exciting too – Heroes and Dr Who were good – Both recorded for your return.
Missing you – Have a great bush trip. Mind out for those plastic spiders!!!

Surprise surprise Snorgey…falling in love with a dog..who’d have thought it…!!! There is a cat here who doesn’t know what to do with herself, as there is no-one to coach her on her fluffy cushion…
Have a great time out in the middle of nowhere…hope we get a chance to have a chat before you go…will try and call you soon.
Lots of lov,
dad.xxxxxx
Poor Maisie is sad to hear you have a new love in your life Bronte. Obviously can’t compete with these Aussie females.
Love nana
Dog …. Did you say Dog!!! And you think it’s cute!!!
Hi Bronte, how could you drop me just like that! Yes Jasmine is pretty and cute and all of that but just because I am getting old and scraggy it doesn’t mean that I don’t still like you. Guess what? I have been tarted up, with a trim and a wash and I’m just like a little cuddley lamb, maybe a bit bigger and I am on my way to Wales for a break so I will be really fit when I return and looking good.
Woof…woof….woof….I will still be thinking of you even though you have dropped me.XXXXXXXX
