Ularu or Ayres rock is not as red as i thought but up close its definately more interesting than i thought. It was 6 miles around the rock and it was really hot but not as hot as Darwin (34 degrees).We went for sun rise and sun set they were both good.After that we went to the Olgas which is lot’s of big red rocks.Every time we have had a tv i’ve been watching the olympics it,s great I don’t know who to support, Australia or England.see you very soon ………….jack

You have to support the best team and that hasd to be Team GB. Glad you managed to watch some of it. Pity you couldn’t get some rock climbing experience in! You have certainly experienced dramatic changes in temperature on your trip. Enjoy the rest of your stay. Nanna, Maisie and I are off to France tommorrow where we hope to pick up some better weather although looking at the satellite images I am not too sure.

I certainly agree with Jacqui re olympics. Somebody has worked out today that if the medal table took population into account Australia would be above us! Keep that to yourself though. We dont want any of those Aussies gloating. Missing you lots. Love Nana

It sounds as if you have had such wonderful experiences I am sure whn you get back and look at this site you will have totally forgotten all the wet tents and cold nights.

hi i wrote a realy long email the other day but it didn’t send. how are you. i haven’t read all the blogs yet but i will. We went to tennessee on a road trip and mississipi. It was really fun we visited Memphis, Nashville and Yogi bears camp sites twice. Memphis is where elvis lived and everyone was dresed as him. In nashvile I bought a cowboy hat – yee har! In Nashville there was lots of country music around, it was so cool and we stayed in a really cool cabin in the smokey mountains. It was really high up and had a hot tub on the balcony and had 4 tvs and a real arcade game. i will send you pictures later. we vwent to Dollywood which is Dolly Partons theme park which had the best roller coaster in the world. it lasted for 2 and a half minutes and was so fun. have a good rest of the time. hope you are having fun. we bought a whole light my fire spork and kit that has, bowls plates and spork. did you get one there. i dont want to go back to england do you any way see you soon
