The kids have been amazing on this trip. All credit to them, they never complain about the long drives. They do whatever we ask them to without complaint. They work hard every evening in the heat putting up their swags, and then packing them away in the morning. All the way round people have said what great kids they are…and they really are. They have kept spirits up when things are hard. Bronte is covered in Mosquito bites but never complains. Jack has been bush tucker boy on this part of the journey and is always coming up with good ideas. His penknife has come in handy many a time! They have both managed to keep Robbie occupied with his constant demands to go swimming and play games in the water. He’s always first in and last out and always stealing their goggles!
Hi Jack & Bronte,
Good to hear that you are both behaving yourselves as well as enjoying life. Things can get tough at times but it is always worth struggling through because there ia always something better to follow. As Nanna often says there is no joy without pain. I don’t always agree with that.
Love Grandad,

Kids,
I wouldn’t expect anything less from you both because you’re both lovely….missed you loads this weekend, and thought that picture of Bronte was beautiful…
Jack get a couple of pics of you on there – it’s been a while…but change your t-shirt, so that we have a couple with another one on!! How’s the beard coming on??
And don’t forget – if you haven’t played it yet, there is still time to play the Spoons game with Robbie!!!!! I’m sure there are a couple of dish-towels you can use as blindfolds…he will love it!!
Love you both, and I will speak to you next week!!! The cats say “Hi.”, although it just sounded like “Miaow” to me….but Oscar said it was definitely, “Hi” that Belle said…as we had a beer together in the garden after I had cut the grass, dug a flower-bed, and planted some lovely plants…well, as lovely as plants can be!!! Sorry grandad John, but it’s almost as wasteful with time as my dad is with time and golf!!!!
Big kisses for Bronte, and Big Man-hugs for Jack…
love,
