We went through cobolt gourge in a little boat but it needed to be small because the gorge is only 1.5 meters wide I got some good pictures of cobolt gorge and the three crocs they didnt move much but one of them did move and when he did he was very fast then then we got back from the boat we went on a walk up the hill and saw some cool things but it was so hot and we didn’t have much drink left. Then we went to lawn hill it was very dusty in not much there but as soon as you get to the gorge it is great. We went up the gorge in car inner tubes and it took hours but it was still good. Then the next day we went up the same gorge but in canoes that was not as fun because it was very windy and hard but you did see alot. Then we went to lorella springs and it was fun because it wasnt so dusty and we had hot springs which were good. The women that ran the site said she would show us some slides and we went and there was a slide made of smooth rock and you go realy fast and i didnt even hurt but just up a bit was a two metre deep pool wich was good to jump in.
Hi Jack,
Good to hear you haven’t got lost in the outback! Good picture of the crocodile but it looks a bit lethargic to me. You need to tempt it with a chicken carcass – then watch it move ….real fast. Gulp! When you said the lady was going to show you slides I thought you meant pictures not actual slides! We have been watching the opening ceremony of the Bejeing Olympics which was amazing.
Enjoy having fun and keeping dirty – you always seemed to like the outdoor life and now you are experiencing it to the full.
Take care,
Grandad
Jack
It was loevly to speak to you this morning – We have missed you so much this week, having been away with Alex and Liam and doing some cool stuff ourselves, it just makes me think of you guys more and how you would enjoy what we are doing. Anyway we are back home now and back to work Monday so you won’t be missing any fun stuff and we will be too busy to even think about you (NOT REALLY)
It sounds as if you are having a really FAB time although I expect you are quite tired too with all the exciting things you are doing. It will be hard work travelling 1000 kiometres but worth it when you get to where you are going I am sure.
I would love to see some pics of the kangaroos? I heard on the radio today that they are considering farming more of them in Aus as they produce less methane than cows – So my suggestion to you would be to avoid the cows if you see any, cos I guess they must pump a lot?
Look forward to your next update

Hiya you two…great to talk to you the other day…I bet your weather was better than ours when we visited Auntie Jacqueline, Uncle Bruce, Alex and Liam in the Peak District…
But Alton Towers has some cool new rides, and we did them all….
the wildlife’s not as good as yours looks tho…monkeys was the most we saw, though they did walk around freely, and one of them just strolled across the path in front of us, looking like he wanted a fight…or maybe just a cake or banana! And there was a baby one that looked just like Yoda, but it was really cute…
You’ve covered a lot of miles, and it seems like yo’re having an amazing time, so enjoy it as much as you can…
Missing you loads, and can’t wait to see you…check out the moon before you go to bed, cos I can see it too!
Love you,
Dad.xxx
